Job Title/Position: Merchandiser (Denim Apparels)

Status: Full-time 

Job Location: Dhaka office of FIBER N FIBRE 

Salary and Benefits: Salary and compensations are commensurate to experience and are negotiable; benefit entitlements are as per company’s policy. 

Minimum Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree is required. Minimum 6 (six) years of experience in handling the development, sourcing and production cycle of denim apparel. 

Age: 24 to 40 years.

What We are Looking for:

The candidate must have excellent understanding of denim fashion trends. Passion for denim fashion and branding ‘Made in Bangladesh’ is highly desirable and will be considered in the evaluation process. We are looking for someone who is proactive, a good leader, has strong verbal and written communication skills in English and able to work in fast-paced environment.

Desired qualities and skills:

• Proactive, responsive and quick learner; 
• excellent interpersonal and communication skills; 
• computer literacy, data analysis and report writing; 
• formal presentations. 

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Primary responsibilities include- proactively develop seasonal denim apparel; support cost-effective sourcing and procurement of fabrics, washings, trims and accessories; negotiate price and production with factories ensuring cost parameters, delivery calendars and compliances; follow up on production and maintain deadlines strictly; collaborate across teams and vendors for continuous improvement of quality, price and lead time in the supply chain process. 
• The candidate is expected to support internal business development team on fabrics, specifications, pricing, quality and lead time to feedback on buyers’ inquiries; develop and maintain strong relationships & effective communication with the buyers and suppliers. 
• Candidates should be willing and able to travel overseas to visit buyers and vendors.
